Can AI Take Over The Humans?
An AI takeover is a hypothetical scenario in which some form of artificial intelligence (AI) becomes the dominant form of intelligence on Earth, with computer programs or robots effectively taking the control of the planet away from the human species.
By the way, in this 21st century, AI can do the following mindblowing things:-
- Read
- Write
- Hear and understands
- Speak
- Smell
- Touch
- Move
- Understands emotions
- Play games
- Create
- Read your mind
THE TOP MYTHS ABOUT AI
- Superintelligence by the year 2100 is still impossible or inevitable. AI experts simply disagree about this fact although.
- AI to be turning into evil or consciousness.
- Superintelligence is just years away.
HOW CAN AI BE DANGEROUS?
- If AI is programmed to do something devastating.
- The AI is programmed to do something beneficial, but it develops a destructive method for achieving its goal.
Why AI Will Replace Some Jobs
- Computers are Less Error-prone Than Humans.
- AI Doesn’t Get Bored or Tired.
- AI-enabled Machines Can Perform Dangerous Tasks.
- AI Machines are Cheaper in the Long Run.
Why AI Can’t Replace All Jobs
- Humans Excel at Creative Thinking.
- The connection between human-human or any living organisms cannot be deeply understood by AI.
- AI Can’t Handle Overly Complex or Highly Strategic Jobs.
- Someone Needs To Program the AI.
Why can’t artificial intelligence replace human beings?
- Replacing human beings with artificial intelligence doesn’t make sense, although A.I. can be a great support to humans at times(as we can see in this COVID19 pandemic).
- The involvement of A.I. do will make life even handier for humans in the future, it will perchance never be possible for these machines to replace human beings.
- AI is single narrow-purpose technologies that are rigid to the purposes of their design, are expensive to purchase and maintain, and are rarely (if ever) adaptive to the dynamic world we exist.
Warnings on the AI
Physicist Stephen Hawking, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and SpaceX founder Elon Musk have expressed concerns about the possibility that AI could develop to the point that humans could not control it, with Hawking theorizing that this could “spell the end of the human race”.
Stephen Hawking said in 2014 that “Success in creating AI would be the biggest event in human history. Unfortunately, it might also be the last, unless we learn how to avoid the risks.” Hawking believed that in the coming decades, AI could offer “incalculable benefits and risks”.
